Grooming

Snowmobile trails are groomed to provide a nearly smooth and safer riding surface. This is accomplished by manipulating (moving, flattening, rototilling, or compacting) the snow, on and around the trail, using a snow groomer vehicle. BEAST has used various different types of modified tractors and industrial groomers over the years.

Click on the “Complete Details” of the trail status area of the main page on the upper right to see trail by trail grooming data.

The BEAST now has four groomers:

  • North East – 2001 BR 180
  • North West – 2004 BR 180
  • South East – 2012 Pioneer SG1200 (obtained Dec 2014)
  • South West – 2001 BR 180
